Recently, we introduced you to a new topic on our blog and on our social platforms—Vendor Spotlights. It's our way of sharing high-quality businesses with you, as well as to educate, prepare, and guide our current clients through the selections process once they have chosen their preferred vendor to work with. This month, we're introducing another wonderful company we partner with on various home projects and whom we trust when it comes to building and renovating homes our clients will love.
As a family-managed company, Watermarks Kitchen & Bath Boutique has been serving Ontario's wholesale plumbing, HVAC and Hydronics market since 1962. The company is a division of Marks Supply, Inc. with nine branches offering a breadth of knowledge and expertise to help clients with their projects.
We had the opportunity to stop into their Kitchener location and ask Showroom Supervisor, Melissa Stremble, questions on what clients can expect when meeting with a Watermarks Consultant and the latest trends in plumbing fixtures.
Upon walking into the showroom, you'll be introduced to a variety of design vignettes and 'Mix n' Match' displays. Vignettes are laid out accordingly; based on style and theme. With so many brands on display, Melissa did note, "clients tend to favour style and function over a specific brand." She also added, "It's very common to mix and match different manufacturers to get the look and feel the client wants."
Faucets & Sinks
Their showroom displays different faucet options, including widespread, wall-mounted and single-hole faucets. When it comes to bathroom sinks, their offerings include undermount, vessel, drop-in, and pedestal.
Tubs
From aclove and drop-in bathtubs to free-standing and undermount, there are many styles to browse within their showroom.
When asked what was on-trend for bathtubs, Melissa stated, "free-standing tubs with thin edges and wall-mounted tub fillers."
Showers
She also added digital showers have been quite popular, along with matte black and brushed gold as being top-selling finishes. You'll get inspired by their shower selections, including steam showers and different door options.
Toilets
The Watermarks showroom displays innovative plumbing accessories and bathroom features, including smart toilets by Kohler. Melissa explained, "Smart Toilets and bidet seats are flooding the market. We have a smart toilet in each showroom that is working to show the customer what to expect."
With an emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness over this past year during the pandemic, it's no secret that hands-free appliances have become a necessity rather than just a luxury.
Vanities, Lighting & Mirrors
Watermarks also carries practical and beautiful vanities, with options of wall-mounted or floor-mounted, as well as mirrors and lighting accessories.
According to Melissa, "Vanities are trending to be more sleek and modern with light wood and grey tones."
Faucets & Sinks
You have options of undermount and farmhouse sinks to browse, depending on your style preference.
Their consultants and outside sales staff offer the following:
Customer-Driven Dedication
Personalized Support
A True Understanding of Your Needs
"We ask a number of qualifying questions that will lead us to a product we feel will best suit the customer's needs," Melissa noted.
