Kitchener family loves their location but has outgrown their home

Slotegraaf completed this addition/renovation in Kitchener in December 2010. The house originally was 1334 sq.ft.; a fairly modest living space for the growing family. As is typical with many older homes, the main floor contained a modest kitchen space, dining room, and living room. The second storey contained three bedrooms and a small washroom. With a new baby having just arrived, this family of five had simply outgrown their home.

Since they loved the neighbourhood, and the character and layout of their home, the homeowners hired Slotegraaf to increase their living space rather than move. The addition entailed a new open concept kitchen and family room, new mud room and powder room area, a small nook for a home office, and a new master suite over the existing garage.

The scheduling for this project allowed Slotegraaf to contain the work areas so that the family could still live in their home throughout the construction process. As promised the project finished 'On Time and On Budget!'

Read what the homeowners said about their experience working with Slotegraaf:

This was a very positive experience for us. We trusted Dave right from the first meeting, the designer was an excellent communicator, the men on site were courteous and professional and overall we felt like we were treated like family.

The work was efficient and we couldn't believe it was ahead of schedule. The site was left clean at the end of each day.

We are absolutely delighted with the finished product and our friends and family are also impressed with the efficiency and professionalism throughout. We are so glad we decided to go with Slotegraaf. Thanks for everything! -Steve & Claire
