This was a great renovation with a fun twist! The homeowners were away for 30 days, starting April 30, 2012, and when they returned their aged kitchen was transformed into a beautiful new kitchen with glazed ivory cabinets, new backsplash tile, and new hardwood floors installed throughout the entire main floor of their home. Not only did we promise to be done in 30 days, we said that if we were even a day late Slotegraaf would treat them and four of their closest friends to dinner at The Keg! The kitchen was done on time as promised and the new kitchen is beautiful.

Planning is key to a well managed renovation...

Obviously, no one would leave their home to be renovated in their absence without full trust in their contractor and being 100% confident that every detail was attended to. The seven weeks before the homeowners left they worked with Dave and Emily to finalize the contract, complete the kitchen and lighting design, visit showrooms to select cabinets, flooring, lighting, colours and more.

Demolition started April 30th and each week we updated the blog with progess and pictures. And the homeowners couldn't have been happier with our 30 day challenge - they were able to watch the renovation happen online while they are away!
